The Humdrum: Lynn

It was the day that Lita is going back home for her sister’s wedding. Before going home, she had told me that there was a lady of Lao-American who wanted to stay with us for 2 days. Then I said ok for this lady. A companion in my lonely hour, as I was thinking. *playing Sam Smith’s songs*

Her name was Lynn. She said her train would come at 9:45 pm. So I just wait for her. Her train was really having Indonesian blood. It was an hour late nearly midnight. I picked her up at the street where I told her to stop, because it’s hard for me to explain where my house is. As I saw her, I was saying OMG, WTF, WTH, HBD WYATB! And guess what? She is travelling with a suitcase. I felt pity for my small scooter that she (I consider my scooter a female) had to bear with two heavy bodies, a huge suitcase and a big backpack.

She was messed up and starving, so I took her for something to munch. She looks like Indonesian. Everyone we met on the street ask her something in Indonesian language, including this people selling food.

She talked a lot during that night. I didn’t know whether she was aware of me yawning all the time. I was too sleepy and too lazy to respond to her stories. I needed a long and good sleep. At one night I took her to my favourite food stall and we only talked about some basics (and boring, sorry Lynn) things.

I couldn’t take her anywhere, because of my work. She got lost on the way back home from the temple. I have told her all the directions but she missed it.

When she was waiting for her train to Bandung, she had all her bags in the train station. She wanted to meet Lita, so we met her on a bar nearby the train station. It was not long, because Lita was tired of the long day she had and trying to find something to break the ice. It really wasn’t her.
